Mattoon Township Park District, founded in 1912, celebrated 100 yrs. of providing park space and recreation opportunities to Mattoon in 2012. The Park District Board and Administration spent most of the year creating a Master Plan for the future development of Lytle Park.  As leaders and stewards of how we care for and treat the environment, Lytle Park’s Master Plan reflects those ideas with designs and practices embracing sustainable practice and conservation. The Master Plan can be viewed in the “Green Environment” section of the site.
